Sports Bash

Join us for our third annual Sports Bash!

Mark your calendars for an exciting opportunity July 6 for kids ages 5-12. Kids will get to participate in different sports workshops with experienced coaches. The Sports Bash will be held from 9:00am-1:00pm at Platte Landing Park. Cost is $10 per child. Find more details about the bash including registration information below!

Sports bash details

When: Saturday, July 6 from 9:00 AM- NOON (with a free lunch for the entire family afterwards from Noon-1:00 PM)
Where: Friends Pavillion
Cost: $10 per child
Details: RiverPark and Upstream Church are thrilled to host this year's one day sports bash for kids (ages 5-12) in Parkville and the surrounding areas.

Kids will get to participate in different sports workshops with experienced coaches in the beautiful Platte Landing Park (next to English Landing). You can drop off your kids or hang out at our "Parent Lounge" with drinks and snacks during the event.

There will be a 15-minute break where snacks will be provided, along with a relevant, age appropriate character-building story or lesson.

The cost of registration is $10 per child and includes all the drinks and snacks during the event.

But wait, there’s more!

All Sports Bash participants and their families are invited to a FREE lunch and activities immediately following the sports bash from Noon-1:00PM.

  • The kids will rotate between FIVE different sports. While things could change, the current sports planned are:

    • Baseball

    • Flag football

    • Volleyball/Badminton (depending on age of kids)

    • Kickball

    • Soccer

  • Yes! Just register yourself as an adult volunteer and one of the RiverPark Staff will contact you with details.

  • At the Friends Pavilion. There will be volunteers there to help you complete your waiver, get your child assigned to their team, and take them to their team leaders.

  • Yes! We will have a play area for parents & their children 4 years and younger that they can play in. (Things like bubbles, balls, etc.) We will also have snacks and water bottles available (Parents or guardians must be present with their little one as there will be no volunteer supervision over this area.)
